American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) updates
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law on March 11, 2021 in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. ARPA is an economic stimulus plan designed to help provide financial relief to Americans facing economic hardships due to the pandemic. Two ways ARPA provides relief are the expansion of the Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTCs) and COBRA subsidies.
The expansion of the APTCs and removal of the federal poverty level cap creates opportunities for more individuals to qualify for financial relief to help pay their monthly health insurance premiums when they buy a plan through Access Health CT. Learn more about how this impacts your clients.
We also sent you a SalesFlash on May 17 with detailed information on the COBRA subsidy, including instructions for your clients.

ConnectiCare is turning 40
While the world of health care has changed dramatically since 1981, nothing has changed in ConnectiCare’s commitment to the people of Connecticut. “Connecticut is more than just a state to us. It’s our home,” said Eric Galvin, president of ConnectiCare. “We live and work in the communities we serve. Our team is present in communities across the state, helping neighbors obtain and use health insurance to get the care they need. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we’re optimistic about the future of ConnectiCare and our state. ConnectiCare plans to celebrate turning 40 by giving back to the community, focusing on food security and mental health.
