Targeted mailing to prospective large employers in September
We’re launching a targeted direct mail campaign to a selection of large group employers highlighting the benefits of working with ConnectiCare. The mailing is planned for early September.
The mailing will reach approximately 90 large employers representing both fully-insured and self-funded groups, with a focus on Fairfield and New Haven counties. Our message is geared towards human resources directors and chief financial officers (CFOs). Key message points include:
- |
ConnectiCare’s best-in-class network discounts
|
- |
Rate discounts for bundling dental with medical
|
- |
Connecticut-based customer service
|
This campaign should hit mailboxes during the first week of September. It will include a brochure with a multi-function tool attached, using the theme that ConnectiCare has all the tools an employer needs for their business.
In the mailing, we’re encouraging these employers to contact their broker to make sure ConnectiCare is included in their next quote. The brochure tells employers they can learn more at chooseconnecticare.com/business.
Please contact your ConnectiCare sales representative with any questions.

Fixed Funding Solutions now available for middle market groups
In recent issues of SalesCall, we introduced you to Fixed Funding Solutions* (FFS), our new suite of level-funded medical plans for businesses with fewer than 51 employees. Available exclusively through the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), these plans provide businesses the advantages of self-funding with the protections of stop loss insurance and predictable billing.
Soft-launched this June, these plans can be quoted for both new and renewing business. FFS plans have proven to be a great solution for many of your small-group clients. High demand helped drive our decision to offer FFS plans for mid-sized groups (51-99 employees). If you have clients who might benefit from a level-funded plan, contact your ConnectiCare sales representative or account manager to get a quote started.

*Fixed Funding Solutions (FFS) plans are self-funded and are exclusively available to CBIA members who qualify. ConnectiCare Insurance Company, Inc., provides certain administrative services and stop loss coverage to employers.

Small group and individual members may be offered in-home or mobile clinic visits
Matrix Health will reach out to selected fully-insured small group and individual – Exchange and SOLO – members and offer them preventive care exams.
Members who accept will be visited by nurse practitioners at home or given the options to visit a Matrix Health mobile health clinic. Members who complete an exam receive a $50 Visa reward card in the mail a few weeks later.
Matrix professionals spend 60 to 90 minutes with each patient, reviewing health histories and medications, answering questions, and performing health assessments. They may recommend follow-up tests or care.
Matrix Health mails each member a personal health summary after the visit and the results of any tests that Matrix performs. When members have primary care providers (PCPs), Matrix mails PCPs visit reports and any recommendations for follow-up.
Members will be invited first by mail, with follow-up calls to those who don’t respond. If clients contact you about these visits, please encourage them to make appointments.

Include vision and dental in your quotes
Do your clients crave richer benefit packages? We offer two EyeMed vision plan options for large groups as well as dental coverage for small and large groups.
There are two vison plan options your large-group clients (51+ employees) can add to their ConnectiCare medical plans. These plans from EyeMed feature benefits for frames, lenses, contact lenses and laser vision correction. The EyeMed network includes independent providers as well as top retail providers, such as LensCrafters, Target Optical, Sears Optical, and Pearle Vision.
Learn more about our vision plans.
For dental plans, we have options for employers of all sizes:
Our dental plans are administered by DentaQuest, an experienced dental benefits administrator serving millions of health plan members nationwide.
Please note, we’re not offering 2019 dental plans for small group CBIA, small group Massachusetts, and any Exchange products (including SHOP and off-Exchange). We continue to include pediatric dental coverage in all plans for which it is required under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
