Now offering Fixed Funding Solutions – level-funded plans

Present your clients with Fixed Funding Solutions, our new suite of level-funded medical plans that provide businesses the advantages of self-funding with the protections of stop loss insurance and predictable billing.

These plans may save your clients up to 25% over fully-insured products. Other important features include:

Surplus sharing upon renewal into a Fixed Funding plan (other details apply)
Access to local, regional and national networks of facilities and providers

These plans are available exclusively to businesses that are members of CBIA. Some groups may not qualify for a Fixed Funding Solutions plan. We will automatically determine if an existing CBIA or ConnectiCare client qualifies. You may have already received information for your clients who are eligible.

Your Medicare Advantage clients will soon receive the Summer 2019 issue of Housecall. This printed newsletter includes tips for staying healthy this summer, top things to know about their health plan, the health benefits of walking, a doctor’s guide to choosing allergy medicine wisely, and more. The newsletter should arrive in mailboxes in the next few weeks. Contact your sales representative for copies. This publication will not be sent to Passage Dual (HMO SNP) members.

Let your clients know ConnectiCare is ready to help

Let your commercial and Medicare Advantage clients know that ConnectiCare can help see that they are getting the care they need. Our care management nurses, certified diabetes educators, pharmacists, social workers and health care navigators are available for members by phone and now in person at our Manchester ConnectiCare center.

Care managers can help members who have questions about or need help with:

Managing a condition or illness, like diabetes, asthma, COPD, or heart disease
Upcoming surgeries or procedures
Follow-up care after a stay in the hospital or a skilled nursing facility
Rides to doctor appointments
Filling or paying for prescriptions
Finding urgent care centers for non-emergencies
Quitting smoking
Finding local social and support services, including food banks and subsidized grocery programs, transportation services, support groups, prescription assistance programs, and senior centers and activities

Members can call 1-800-390-3522 (TTY: 1-800-842-9710), 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, to ask for help. Outside of those hours, they can leave a message with a time to call them back.

Members can also make appointments to meet care managers at the ConnectiCare center in Manchester. Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays to visit with a nurse, on Thursdays to meet with a social worker, and on the second Wednesday of the month to visit a certified diabetes nurse educator. Members should call the center at 1-877-523-6837 (prompt 2) to make appointments.

JA in a Day

 

Our team had a blast supporting Junior Achievement of Southwest New England at JA in a Day. ConnectiCare employees took over classrooms at Hubbell Elementary School in Bristol to teach students about money, jobs, community, and more.

Special Olympics Connecticut

ConnectiCare is proud to support inclusion and unified sports through Special Olympics Connecticut. Our employees cheered on student athletes from the unified sports middle school track and field teams and celebrated their achievements.

Memorial Day

 

During Memorial Day weekend, the ConnectiCare team placed flags at the Middletown Memorial Cemetery to honor the men and women who have sacrificed their lives while serving in the U.S. military.
