Broker Portal Upgrade

Improvements, Updates, and Next Steps on Future Releases

We’ve been hard at work to increase functionality and improve processes to serve you better.

Did you know that now you can create and send individual and family plan quotes directly from the broker portal? Quotes go straight to your prospects and renewals in the form of an emailed invitation.

We’re committed to keeping lines of communication open as we work to resolve any outstanding portal issues. Please visit our FAQ page for answers to your questions. For further assistance with small group or individual plans, reach out to Broker Services at 800-723-2986 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Contact your ConnectiCare sales executive or account manager for help with large group plans.

Stay Tuned: 2022 New Plan Details Coming Soon

We’ve been hard at work to create new plans for 2022 that we hope will be the solution of choice for your individual and small group clients. Please note that we’ll be mailing out our new SOLO, Exchange, and Small Group Fully Insured brochures to you by the end of October. For any additional brochure requests, please email your Account Executive or brokerservices@connecticare.com.

Medicare Part D Creditable Coverage Notifications

Help your employer-group clients meet the deadline: They’re required to notify Medicare-eligible employees by Oct. 15, 2021 about whether their employer-sponsored prescription drug plan is at least as good as the standard Medicare prescription drug program. This is defined as "creditable coverage."

Employers are required to notify eligible members of creditable coverage in these instances:

• Annually
• When a member becomes newly eligible for Medicare
• Any time a request for a notice is received
• If there’s a change to a member's drug plan

Large Group

Letters will be mailed to affected large employer-group clients by the end of September. To further help these clients meet the notification requirement, we’re posting information on our secure employer website for review. Click below to see a sample large group letter.

LG Employer Letter

Small Group

CBIA Service Corp. will e-mail small group employers to remind them of this notification requirement. You or your Small Group clients can access Medicare Creditable Coverage plan information and sample letters by accessing the Medicare Part D page on your broker portal.
