Introducing Brian Pagliaro, new SVP, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer
Brian Pagliaro joins the ConnectiCare team as our new Senior Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Brian brings extensive experience in employee benefits and health insurance to his new role overseeing sales, account management, and marketing teams for ConnectiCare commercial health plans.
Before joining ConnectiCare, Brian held senior leadership positions in sales, marketing, and client management at both nonprofit and for-profit organizations in the Northeast as well as North Carolina. A Connecticut native, Brian is happy to return home and work for a company he’s long known for its top-notch customer experience and well-earned reputation.

Fixed Funding Solutions – now available for large groups
Fixed Funding Solutions* level-funded medical plans are now available for your large-group clients (51-99 employees). This is an expansion of the plans that are available for your small-group clients (minimum of five (5) enrolled employees).
Fixed Funding Solutions plans may provide savings to your clients compared to fully-insured plans. They include a national provider network, prescription drug benefits, telemedicine, and plans that qualify enrollees to open and save in health savings accounts (HSAs).

*Fixed Funding Solutions (FFS) plans are self-funded and are exclusively available to CBIA members who qualify. ConnectiCare Insurance Company, Inc., provides certain administrative services and stop loss coverage to employers.

New voluntary benefits for large-group clients
ConnectiCare now offers voluntary supplemental benefits for your large-group clients through a partnership with M3 Technology benefits specialists. There are no minimum participation requirements, and employees are guaranteed acceptance.
Underwritten and administered by Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company, benefits available are: term life, permanent life, disability, accident, and critical illness insurance. These supplementary benefits can help attract and retain quality employees while containing costs for an employer. All voluntary supplemental benefits are paid by the employees or members.

You may have already received an email about our new Medicare broker training series. This monthly series runs through August and will cover a variety of topics to help brokers. ConnectiCare President Eric Galvin spoke to graduate students at Columbia Business School in New York City on Feb. 11 about understanding and transforming the U.S. health care system.

Galvin and Vice President of Human Resources Kristie Lombardo participated in a panel at the HR Leadership Forum of Southern New England, presented by WellSpark Health. The panel focused on how “people strategy” ties into business outcomes and initiatives to develop and keep strong relationships at varying staff levels.

Our ConnectiCare team took part in Go Red for Women Day to raise awareness of heart disease - the top killer of women. Visit goredforwomen.org to learn about the risk factors of heart disease and preventive steps you can take to stay healthy.

We hosted the United Way Emerging Leaders Society's 2019 Case Competition at the ConnectiCare center in Manchester earlier this month. The winning team celebrated with executives from Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Trinity Health of New England, and the MetroHartford Alliance. Rob Kosior, ConnectiCare’s Chief Operating Officer, and Eric Galvin are both members of the board of directors. Galvin is also chair of the 2019 Community Campaign, addressed the group.
