Best-in-class discounts for your clients

An independent analysis of network discounts found that ConnectiCare’s unit cost is the lowest among health insurance carriers in six out of eight Connecticut counties.

This means that ConnectiCare’s negotiated rates with health care providers are better than any of our competitors in Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, and Tolland counties. We work hard to get these discounts for your clients, negotiating constantly with providers across the state.

These discounts can mean real and measurable savings for your clients. Package this with the best service in the state (that’s ours) -- and you’ll have very happy clients.

The analysis was conducted by Aon Hewitt, a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement, and health solutions. Reported in March 2019, the results were based on 2017 policy year data specific to Connecticut.* This is the most recent full-year data currently available.

*The 2017 policy year covers January - December 2017 and 180 days of claims runout paid through July 1, 2018.

Now offering Fixed Funding Solutions – level-funded plans for small groups

Present your small-group clients with Fixed Funding Solutions, our new suite of level-funded medical plans that provide businesses the advantages of self-funding with the protections of stop loss insurance and predictable billing.

These plans may save your clients up to 25% over fully-insured plans. Other important features include:

Surplus sharing upon renewal into a Fixed Funding plan (other details apply)
Access to local, regional and national networks of facilities and providers

These plans are available exclusively to businesses that are members of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA). Some groups may not qualify for a Fixed Funding Solutions plan.

Are Fixed Funding Solutions right for your client? Contact your ConnectiCare sales representative to learn more. Or, email or call us at 1-800-723-2986 to schedule an overview.

Get ready to ride

Don’t miss our 2nd annual Gran Fondo on Sept. 14. The long-distance road cycling event is part of the New Haven Grand Prix Weekend, and includes three race categories: 10-mile, 31-mile, and 62-mile. Participants can ride solo or with a team.

The Gran Fondo honors the memory of Gordon Keller, a triathlete and ConnectiCare employee who lost his life in a tragic accident while on a training ride. All donations support the family he left behind – his beloved wife, Alyson, and their two young children, Riley and Lily. The ride starts and ends at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison.

JA in a DayJA in a Day

ConnectiCare was honored to sponsor Operation Recognize and Operation Shower at the 2019 Travelers Championship. Operation Recognize provided Travelers Championship attendees with an opportunity to take a photo or create a video message thanking United States troops for their service. Operation Shower was a group baby shower for 40 military moms-to-be from Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton. These women either have spouses who are deployed or, in some cases, are on active duty themselves.

Kids Who Tri Succeed

We were proud to sponsor the ConnectiCare Kids Who Tri Succeed - Children's Triathlon Splash & Dash in June. We can't wait for the triathlon in August!

Save A Suit

MilCom, a ConnectiCare employee resource group that supports the military community, gathered employee clothing donations for Save A Suit. This organization provides business attire for military veterans transitioning into the professional world.
